Yesterday evening we got a few inches of snow, maybe 2" or so. But overnight, however, we probably got another 6"! The roads are terrible this morning, because the plows just can't keep up. Even the state highways and the interstate are barely plowed! Bill tried to go to Lima for work this morning (after snow blowing the driveway so he could get his car out) but gave up less than a mile onto the interstate because traffic was going about 30 mph and only one lane was plowed.
One of my coworkers, Stan, who drives in from Spencerville every day did make it here but it took a while. He said that there was no northbound traffic on the interstate at all except for him and one semi truck!
Another of my coworkers, Justin, is still stuck in Oklahoma. He was supposed to fly back last night but got stuck in Tulsa because of an ice storm down there. Between that and all the snow we're getting up here, depending how Detroit is he may not be back today even!
There's only 5 of us in the office today so far, but a few more might trickle in as the morning goes on. Both bosses are supposed to be traveling today, and the other boss (a.k.a. the secretary) probably won't be in because of the snow, but she might surprise us, you never know.
And even with all this, we're supposed to get 3-5" more snow during the day today! I'm supposed to have the first in-person meeting for Discipleship class at 5:30pm today, but the prof sent out an email last night that we may make this week an online chat instead, and do the first in-person meeting in 2 weeks when we were supposed to have our first online chat, since there are people driving in from the Toledo area and such. Either way would work for me, so we'll see what happens.
