Remember back in December, the week before Christmas, when Bill hooked up our whole-house humidifier and the water line came off, thus soaking (and killing) our furnace's inducer motor? (Click here for my post on that if you don't).
Well yesterday afternoon, Bill was finally able to hook up the humidifier again! At first we thought it'd be a $65 part, and then he thought it'd be a $25 part, and it turns out all it needed was a new nut for a few dollars since the first one was stripped... and taking the time to put it on. He checked on it a few times to make sure it wasn't coming apart like last time, and so far all is well!
It was so nice to wake up with only a somewhat sore throat this morning instead of a really sore one like most days for the last 4 months. It's still working on bringing up the humidity level in the entire house so hopefully by tomorrow it'll be even better. The cats will love it too - with the bitter cold we had last week, our furnace was running so much and making it so dry in the house that after petting Calli, she's shock herself just by moving when she walked away!
