I blogged yesterday about how one of my mother-in-law's houses had a tree fall on it during Monday evening's storm. Well it turns out that her house was declared the worst damage in Allen County! They've had a structural engineer there since 9am today and he's still assessing the damage. So far, they'll need to replace all the roof trusses (and other associated things, like duct work and the roof and all that), and replace the drywall in every ceiling and a good number of walls as well. There's definitely foundation damage too, but they're still working through that part. Since the house is appraised pretty high, insurance is going to pay for all the repairs rather than just tear it down. What a mess!
