Hot Hot Hot

We had our first 90 degree day here yesterday, and it was definitely warm both outside and inside our house!

We got an amazing deal on a central air system for our house a few weeks ago, due to Bill's boss being an installer for the Home Depot store in Lima that is closing.  We're essentially getting a $3000 system for around $1300 including installation and everything.  Bill did some of the work for it a few weeks ago, and he's been stepping up the pace during the evenings this week once he heard how hot it was going to be!  Since he's officially EPA certified now, he should be able to finish the installation tonight if his boss lets him bring the necessary tools home.

But because we've been in the process of getting central air, we never put the window a/c units in this year.  We did put the bedroom one in which only cools that room, because we may use that instead of the central air for times during the summer when it's only uncomfortable for sleeping.

Last night we took a thermometer upstairs, and it was 88 in our bathroom!!  This morning when I showered it had cooled down to a toasty 82.  We thought about putting the second upstairs window a/c unit in last night since it's another small one, but we decided it wasn't worth it just for one day.  But if for some reason Bill can't get ours done tonight, I think we will!
