That large dent you see in the roof is where a tree fell on top of the house, over the bedrooms. There was a significant amount of structural damage including cracking the foundation, and they're even having a structural engineer come check it out tomorrow.
Luckily no one was injured, and her insurance policy will cover all the damages. This morning Bill called an associate of theirs who builds houses and isn't very busy lately to come work on it and start assessing damage and all that fun stuff. Unfortunately, this is one of her nicest rental properties and the renters are probably going to be moving out. But on the bright side, this popped off some ugly pink tile in the bathroom, so that's a good excuse to replace it with something better!
