Food or a Toy?

The concept of string cheese really fascinates my cat Smokey.

I was having some as a snack tonight, tearing off a piece then eating it.  He was watching me and wanted to sniff it, as he always does when we eat anything, regardless of what it is.  I held out a string of it for him to sniff, and he sniffed... then swatted at it... then sniffed again... then swatted again... he was just generally confused!

Eventually I helped ease his confusion and gave him a small piece, which he gobbled down.  Apparently food won over toy. :-)
